Friends of Lake Darling State Park is a group of volunteers, consisting of local residents, businesses, park users, and conservationist whose mission is to "Make the Great Park of Lake Darling Extraordinary".

Together since 2001, Friends have been assisting park management with projects, seeking funds and grants for park enhancement, and acting as a liaison to bring park management and users together to address important issues such as water quality, wildlife management, recreational opportunities and park beautification.
